The Chief Executive of Indus Group of Companies, Mr. Malik Muhammad Asif (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) holds a Masters degree in Economics from The Punjab University Lahore, Pakistan. He has been a leading industrialist and prominent businessman in Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Netherlands, Singapore and Australia for more than a decade now.
His leadership skills and professional competence has been exemplary in effectively managing 10 units of rice re-processing plants, 2 units of jute mills and textile mills which has collectively created employment for more than 15,000 people globally.
He also regiments the operations of palm plantations, palm oil industries and teak wood export business in Indonesia. Upon his outstanding business leadership, The Republic of Slovakia has appointed him as a the Honorary Consul General of Slovakia in Pakistan.
A singular civilian National Award of honor “Tamgha-E-Imtiaz” meaning “Distinguished Service Medal” was bestowed upon him, in recognition of his services to Pakistan by The President of Pakistan on 14th August 2011.
Amongst his marvelous achievements, “Business of the Year” award of Pakistan is also included. Additionally he was elected as the chairman of Pakistan Jute Mills Association (PJMA) in the year 2007. He was also elected as the Vice Chairman of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REPA) in the year 2002.
